MARTINEZ FAMILY
Miguel Martinez
I’ve been saved since April 2015 and have been in full-time ministry ever since. I’ve had the amazing opportunity to serve my own people in Guatemala in many different ways—from teaching the Bible to children to delivering fuel-efficient stoves, and most recently, spending my days sharing the Gospel and building friendships with the most amazing people from a small Mayan village.
I have a heart for justice, I’m very outgoing, and I love teaching and speaking to people about the Gospel and culture. I’m not afraid to debate, as long as we hug it out at the end.
I became very bold the day God found me. That boldness has led me to make plenty of mistakes—saying the wrong thing to the wrong person at the wrong time more times than I can count. I thought I was a blessing when, in reality, I was an obstacle more than once. I’ve also struggled with depression and anxiety and have sought therapy to work through it. My sense of humor knows no boundaries, ranging from dad jokes to things I’d never dare post here.
I am passionate about growth, thriving, and understanding our God-given sonship—because no one can take that away from us.
I am not an ideal leader. I’m not everyone’s cup of tea.
But you can be sure I’ll hold your hand until you can walk on your own, just like our Father does.

I would love to take a moment to introduce myself. I have been in full-time ministry for the last 14 years, ten of those years were spent in Guatemala. I have had the opportunity to serve around the world, in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. From being a participant to leading groups with 100+ participants,
I've had the opportunity to do a little bit of everything. At the end of the day, I have the joy of sharing the Hope of Jesus with everyone I meet because at one point I was very lost and Jesus came to give me that hope. I will always say I have the best job and one of the hardest jobs, I love what I get to do but, it doesn't come without its challenges. As a quiet introvert, who is also a recovering perfectionist, I've had to work to do this job to the best of my abilities, some days feel pretty easy but there are other days that the struggle is real. With the many gifts that the Lord has blessed me with, there are still things I have to work on and that is truly a blessing.
I am so excited for the opportunity to come alongside those who are sharing the Gospel around the world!
